Presents!
Robert Armani
Djax, ACV, Music Man, Dust Traxx ,Dance Mania

Godfather of Chicago Acid Techno

One of the more brutally hard acid techno producers from Chicago's glory years, Robert Armani was born on Chicago's south side in 1970. Like most producers of his generation, he began to DJ parties at the age of 14 and eventually found his way in front of a production console by the age of 18. He also started to throw house parties that gave him a reputation on the house scene. Armani was going to give up making music and DJing and join the police academy until a trip to Italy gave him a new perspective on his career decision. He began to release a slew of singles on such labels as Chicago's Dance mania, Holland's Djax-Up Beats (where he released two his most popular tracks: "Circus Bells" and "Armani Tracks"), and a slew of releases on Italy's ACV imprint. Producing with labels including Dance Mania , Music Man , AVC , BML ,
High Octane and many more Armani has captured the ears of fans and promoters all over the world . He has played many international parties giving people his hard Techno feel. You name the place Armani has played there from Chicago to Japan.

Latest Addition to the Line up!

Jimmy Hoffa
Harvard St. Mafia

Jimmy Hoffa has been throwing down hard beats alongside some of the industry's
most notorious players for well over a decade now. Dj ESP, The Advent, Angle Alanis and most
notably - ROBERT ARMANI to name a few. We decided it was time to bring Armani and Hoffa together again for a spectacular night of world class techno to shake your ass to.

While the rest of the world is still looking for Jimmy Hoffa, the Northwest knows what's up. This local legend has been making you dance since '97 and shows no sign of stopping any time soon. Over 10 years after releasing Seattle's most stolen CD [Ressurected!], Hoffa is back with "iBang", his newest release in February of 2009. Coming up through the ranks, Hoffa is responsible for many memorable moments in Seattle's electronic music history:
Harvard $t. Mafia's, Fuckin' Ruckus, Ghetto Olympics [and the trading cards!], over 600 live performances, and his seminal 2X4 with Donald Glaude.
While he's stayed true to his Booty House roots, Hoffa can be caught bringing you the hardest of sounds: Booty House, Juke, Techno, Jumpstyle, Schranz and even Drum & Bass and Dubstep. iBang will feature some of these styles, as well as showcase his latest productions.

As his name suggests, this guy doesn't fuck around.

Travis Baron
Knightriders

Dance Floor ignitor, Travis Baron, has been banging out techno's best for well over a decade now. Inspired by local Seattle Techno jocks back in the late 90's, Travis started throwing one offs and club nights around town winning huge accolades. Those early days helped to define his own sound. Buying vinyl every payday and building an arsenal for over 10 years has paid off big time. Having played alongside techno superfreaks like Kevin Saunderson, Neil Landstrom, Cari Lekebusch, Adam X, Frankie Bones and Woody Mcbride, Travis Baron comes to the decks prepared to slay faces.

From this week's Stranger

Data Breaker

Acid-Techno Wiz Armani and Tectonic Plates
by Dave Segal

Chicago producer Robert Armani has been making some of the most arresting acid techno in the world for nearly 20 years. His tracks are marked by urgent rhythms, ox-stunning 4/4 beats, and that Roland TB-303 croak that can seemingly modulate in infinite variations. There's something archetypically Midwestern about Armani's tracky tracks: They're stoic yet ecstatic, all business in their desire to give you robust pleasure.
I haven't heard everything in Armani's expansive catalog, which includes releases on labels like Djax-Up-Beats, Tresor, and Dance Mania, but what I have experienced makes a beeline for that peak-time zone when the effects of the drinks, drugs, and people's biorhythms all seem to be culminating in a mass hands-in-the-motherfucking-air celebration. Dude's output isn't exactly subtle, but, damn, it gets the job done with admirable single-mindedness. And with "Circus Bells" (the Hardfloor remix, but still...), which I first heard on Laurent Garnier's X-Mix-2: Destination Planet Dream and which instantly blew my mind, Armani has created one of the most distinctive techno anthems ever. The man ain't clownin' around. Kudos to the Knightriders crew for booking this Windy City heavy hitter.Data Breaker
